We are auditioning new friends for Violet. She has a couple of really good friends. But she has a few that could stand replacing. We've been having new kids over for a playdate so Violet can try them out and see if she likes them. One came over last week and passed part one. Another new friend is coming over this afternoon. We have the name and number of a third to try.
Once they pass the playing at our house test, there is still a second test. That is the reciprocal invite to their house. I'm tired of one sided friendships. All playdates do not have to be at our house with me supervising. There's no reason other moms can't host them. They get one invite here. If they don't invite Violet to their house, forget it.
I'm tired of being walked on. I'm tired of Violet's "friends" ignoring her. I know there are some good kids out there. Now to find them. There's a sign up sheet in the hallway.
