Why is there an expiration date on soap?

I was just cleaning the bathroom and refilling the softsoap dispensers (I know the glamor just never ends!) and noticed an expiration date on my softsoap refill. Does the soap quit cleaning after that date? Does it start making things dirty? Should I be concerned?

Hm. Wonder why it wasn't a freshness date? LOL

Mr. Incredible pointed out that it is anti-bacterial soap, so I guess it is a date when it no longer meets the effectiveness claims on the packaging.

But really, shouldn't it be clearer? I still say it doesn't "expire" in a year. LOL

(I've got to get my mind on other things, huh?)

I like the new blog. I'm probably a freak though, so what do I know?

You're right about those crazy women in the troop. Maybe the homeschool troop will be a good compromise for you and Mr. Incredible and Violet.
